Bathroom Vanity Wrap in NYC

Project Overview
The client’s bathroom had a wall-mounted double-sink vanity in glossy white. The cabinet was in good structural condition, but the finish felt cold and dated next to the rest of the space. Replacing the vanity would have meant removing the countertop and sink, disconnecting plumbing, and losing use of the bathroom for days. Instead, Vanta Surfaces refinished the existing vanity in place with architectural film.

Design First: Rendering Before Installation
Before any material was ordered, we created a photo-based rendering of the new wood-grain finish on the client’s actual vanity. The client could see exactly how the new tone would look with their existing tile, fixtures and lighting, and approve the design with confidence. There was no guessing from a small sample swatch.

The Process
We protected the sink, countertop, walls and flooring, then cleaned and prepared every surface for maximum adhesion. The architectural film was applied to the doors, drawer fronts and exposed panels, with edges wrapped and seams placed out of sight for a clean, factory-like finish. A final quality check completed the job.

The Result
The vanity now has a warm, natural wood-grain look that makes the whole bathroom feel softer and more modern. The sink, countertop and plumbing were left untouched. There was no demolition, no dust and no paint fumes, and the finish closely matches the rendering the client approved.

Architectural film is a commercial-grade interior finish used in hotels, offices and residential buildings. It’s a fast, clean alternative to replacing or repainting cabinetry, and it’s especially useful in bathrooms and kitchens, where a full renovation is disruptive and expensive.
