Project Overview
Vanta Surfaces completed an apartment renovation at 501 Surf Avenue in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The project covered several areas of the apartment, including the kitchen, bathroom, living space, and interior finishes.
Our scope of work included flooring installation, kitchen and built-in cabinet installation, bathroom remodeling, interior painting, and electrical work.
The renovation focused on making better use of the apartment’s available space while introducing updated finishes, additional storage, and more functional living areas. The design features light-colored cabinetry, natural wood flooring, stone-look surfaces, and neutral wall colors.
Kitchen Renovation and Cabinet Installation
The kitchen was a major part of this apartment remodeling project. Our team installed new cabinetry throughout the kitchen, including floor-to-ceiling storage units, upper and lower cabinets, and cabinetry around the kitchen island.
The combination of white upper cabinets and neutral-toned lower cabinets creates a clean, understated look. Stone-look countertops and a matching backsplash complement the cabinetry, while stainless steel appliances complete the kitchen.
Particular attention was given to cabinet alignment, fitting around appliances, and finishing the transitions between cabinets, countertops, and surrounding walls.
The updated kitchen provides additional storage and organized work surfaces without sacrificing valuable floor space.
Built-In Cabinets and Storage Installation
Beyond the kitchen, this project included extensive cabinet installation throughout the apartment.
Floor-to-ceiling storage cabinets were installed along the living area, providing a combination of concealed storage and glass-front display shelving.
Additional white built-in cabinets were installed along the living room wall and beneath the windows, creating storage while maintaining a clean appearance.
The installation required careful measurements, cabinet positioning, hardware fitting, and adjustments to accommodate existing walls, ceilings, and openings.
These storage improvements help maximize the usable space within the apartment.
Flooring Installation
Our team performed flooring work as part of the apartment renovation, creating a refreshed foundation for the updated interior.
The living area features light wood-tone flooring that complements the white walls and cabinetry. The natural color adds warmth to the space while keeping the interior bright.
The flooring work included preparation, installation, and finishing details around walls, cabinetry, and other fixed elements.
Special attention was given to transitions and edges to achieve a consistent appearance throughout the renovated areas.
Bathroom Remodeling
The bathroom renovation included updated wall and floor tile finishes, a modern shower enclosure, vanity installation, and new lighting.
Large-format dark stone-look tiles with distinctive gray and blue veining were used throughout the shower area, creating a strong contrast with the lighter vanity and surrounding surfaces.
A glass sliding shower enclosure with stainless steel hardware provides a modern, space-efficient solution.
The bathroom also features a contemporary vanity with an integrated sink, a mirrored cabinet, and recessed ceiling lighting.
The result is a practical bathroom with improved finishes, organized storage, and a modern appearance.
Interior Painting and Wall Finishing
Interior painting was completed as part of the apartment renovation, covering walls and ceilings throughout the renovated spaces.
The neutral white finish complements the cabinetry, flooring, and kitchen surfaces while helping maintain a bright interior.
Our work included surface preparation, painting, and finishing around cabinetry, doors, ceilings, and other architectural details.

Electrical Work and Lighting Installation
