The Foundation for the Finish

Drywall That Creates the Foundation for the Finish

The quality of the drywall determines how good the finished walls and ceilings look. Straight walls, clean corners, properly treated joints, smooth transitions, and consistent surfaces are what make paint and other finishes read correctly. We don’t just hang drywall — we prepare the surface so the finished space looks right under real lighting.

Repair & Restoration

Drywall Repair & Restoration

We repair holes, cracks, damaged sections, old patchwork, damaged corners, and openings left by electrical or plumbing work, as well as surfaces affected by past wall modifications. Where moisture or plumbing issues are involved, the underlying source should be resolved before drywall is restored — we don’t cover over an active leak. Once the space is sound, we bring the wall or ceiling back to a clean, paint-ready surface.

Our Process

From Framing to Finished Walls

01

Assess the Space

We review existing walls, ceilings, framing, access, and the requirements of the project before any work begins.

02

Prepare & Frame

We complete any required framing and prepare openings and surfaces so the drywall can be installed correctly.

03

Hang Drywall

Drywall panels are installed according to the project layout, with attention to seams, openings, and secure fastening.

04

Tape & Finish

Seams, corners, fasteners, and transitions are taped and treated with joint compound in successive coats.

05

Sand & Prepare

Surfaces are sanded to the required level and prepared for the next finish, checking for consistency under lighting.

06

Final Finish

Walls and ceilings are left ready for painting, wallpaper, architectural finishes, or the next stage of the renovation.

NYC Building Considerations

Drywall work in New York often involves more than construction. Building access, elevator reservations, permitted work hours, material deliveries, protection of common areas, debris removal, and condo or co-op requirements all affect the project. Requirements vary by building and scope — where permits, licensed trades, or building approvals are required, those requirements should be identified during planning. We review these early so the scope and schedule can be planned appropriately.

  • Condos and co-ops
  • Managed apartment buildings
  • Single-family homes and townhouses
  • Rental and investment properties
  • Building access and protection requirements
  • Certificate of insurance, permitted work hours, and delivery/debris coordination when required
